Russia is by far the largest supplier of armaments, ammunition and military equipment for Ukraine in the middle of the war between the two countries, a war that has been going on for almost 8 months, but during this period the Ukrainian army captured extremely many military elements that the Russians abandoned them on the front.
Everything that the Russians abandoned, and could be repaired, or used directly, by the Ukrainians, is now on the battlefield, and is being used against Russia, these "donations" far exceeding everything that Ukraine's allies have provided so far for now, and the situation will most likely continue the same way in the future.
"The captured Russian weapons represent the largest supply of heavy weapons for Ukraine. According to open-source intelligence analysts interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Ukraine's rapid discovery of the Kharkiv region last month helped put hundreds of pieces of Russian armor in Ukrainian hands.
This, combined with weapons taken during Russia's withdrawal from Kiev and other parts of northern Ukraine in April, made Russia the largest supplier of heavy weapons to Ukraine. However, Western-supplied weapons are "more advanced and more accurate," says the WSJ."
According to open-source intelligence analysts interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Ukraine's rapid breakthrough in Kharkiv Oblast last month helped put hundreds of pieces of Russian armor into Ukraine's hands.
