Minister of Education Important Measures LAST TIME Announced Students All Schools

The Minister of Education for Romania sends an extremely important announcement for millions of students, parents, and teachers from all over Romania, and this because a series of measures will be implemented for schools throughout the country that were already discussed in Brussels, during a meeting between ministers from several countries on the continent.

The Minister of Education speaks below about what was discussed during this meeting, which were the most important points that were emphasized, but also the measures that are required for implementation in the education systems of several European countries during the months, but and the following years.

"Ms. Ligia Deca participated on Monday, November 28, at the meeting of the Education Council, held in Brussels. This event addressed topics such as inclusion, equity and quality in education and training, supporting well-being in digital education and the development of the European Education Area in the context of Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Education Ministers adopted the following documents: Council Recommendation on Pathways to School Success: the document sets out concrete policy measures to tackle early school leaving and improve the basic skills (reading, maths and science) of young people aged up to 15, in particular of those coming from a disadvantaged background, being centered on the inclusive dimension of education by increasing the graduation rate of secondary education.

Council conclusions on supporting well-being in digital education: the document aims at a set of measures to promote well-being in digital education by designing learning forms, developing attractive digital contents and developing interpersonal relationships in the digital ecosystem. At the same time, the essential role of teachers in supporting the well-being of students is mentioned and, implicitly, in developing the digital capacity of education and training systems favorable to inclusion.

In the framework of the public debate with the theme "The European Space of Education during the Russian aggression in Ukraine", the Romanian Minister of Education emphasized the importance of cooperation and solidarity in addressing common challenges, as well as the key role of education in ensuring a sense of normalcy for people fleeing the war in Ukraine

In this context, the Romanian dignitary mentioned the fact that "in Romania, in order to further strengthen our national response, we have adopted a National Plan of measures regarding the protection and inclusion of displaced persons from Ukraine, which, in addition to the emergency response measures, it also focuses on medium and long term protection measures. The measures being implemented in the field of education facilitate the access of Ukrainian students to all types of education and ensure the necessary resources for teaching-learning and assessment processes.''
