The Minister of Education sends 2 very important announcements with impact measures for schools all over Romania, and this is because we are talking about changes to what students will learn in educational institutions regarding climate change, but also a decision related to the OECD and the future of Romania.

The Minister of Education says first that schools in Romania, as part of the OECD accession process, will transmit data to the INES statistical data network, and separately, below, it is discussed how the national "Green Week" program will be implemented in schools from all over the country during the following months.

"The agenda of the workshop included the accession process of Romania to the OECD in the field of education, the work program of the OECD, the objectives of INES and the activities carried out by the related networks INES LSO (INES Network for the labor market and social and economic results of learning) and NESLI (Network for Collecting System-Level Descriptive Information on Educational Systems, Policies and Practices), EAG presentation.

Also, the representatives of Romania presented the main policy objectives in the field of education, the structure of the education system and ISCED implementation, as well as the existing mechanisms in Romania for data collection for the education system.

Regardless of the types of organized activities, teachers take all measures to ensure the supervision of pre-schoolers, preschoolers, students and their safety during the activities. During the period allocated to the "Green Week" program, no courses are organized according to the usual schedule of the educational unit. The program takes place according to a special timetable, on each of the 5 days.

As an exception to the provisions of para. (1), in the classes of high school education - the technological branch, of professional education and of post-high school education, during the period dedicated to the "Green Week" program, practical training activities are organized. Participation in the "Green Week" program is mandatory for preschoolers, preschoolers, students, as well as for all teaching staff in the educational institution. The activities within the "Green Week" program can be carried out in the educational unit or outside it, respecting the legal provisions regarding the safety of pre-schoolers, preschoolers and students during the respective activity.

Any trip outside the educational institution must have an educational character. Pre-schoolers, preschoolers, students are not allowed to travel during the entire program (5 days or more). This methodology is displayed on the notice board of the educational unit or in another accessible place so that it can be consulted by teachers, students, parents/legal representatives and partners of the educational unit and, as the case may be, on the website of the educational unit.
