According to information provided by Jeff Pu, the Pro models of next year's iPhone 16 series will benefit from Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, a significant upgrade over the Wi-Fi 6e capability of the iPhone 15 Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will also feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 modem, which should offer faster 5G download speeds compared to the X70 modem found on the iPhone 15 generation, while also offering improved battery life.
Both 16 Pro models will benefit from ultrawide camera upgrades to 48MP, and the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to integrate the 12MP tetra-prism lens found on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, with 5x optical zoom. The new zoom sensor will be adapted due to the larger size of the upcoming iPhone Pros – the 16 Pro is expected to have a 6,3-inch screen, while the 16 Pro Max will likely be equipped with a 6,9-inch panel inches.
As for the standard iPhone 16 model, Jeff Pu predicts it will incorporate a less powerful version of the A17 Pro chip found on the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models, with 8GB of RAM and the same dual cameras as the iPhone 15, plus a small upgrade to Wi-Fi 6e.
