"Yesterday I participated in the opening of the 5th edition of the Bologna Process Researchers' Conference (Future of Higher Education - Bologna Process Researchers' Conference, FOHE-BPRC), organized by UEFISCDI in partnership with the University of Bucharest and SNSPA, under the High Patronage of the President of Romania.

It was a joy to be in the middle of more than 100 international researchers concerned with how the action directions of the Bologna Process are implemented in the member states of the European Higher Education Area, including Romania, as well as with the future of higher education European. The Europe of the future will be built on solid academic values, which ensure that universities can be leaders in identifying solutions to the overlapping crises facing our societies.

The internationalization of higher education, access and success on the labor market, inclusion, the fundamental values of higher education, digitalization and its ethical implications, as well as innovative learning and teaching methods for a student-centered education are thematic priorities of this edition. Beyond the fact that it brings to the fore the academic values that underpin higher education.

This highly scientific event prepares the Conference of Ministers of Higher Education in Tirana in May, where a reference framework will be proposed to define these values, together with a European framework for monitoring their compliance. I will support the adoption of this reference framework and I will ensure that Romania will continue its firm commitment in promoting European cooperation in the field of higher education! Thanks to the organizing team and everyone who contributed to the success of this event!

When I was asked recently about the framework plans, I stated some principles that I had in mind and that I presented to the working groups when we initially met, after they were formed, with the coordinators of these working groups. And I asked, on the one hand, for there to be an airing of the framework plans."
