In cursul acestei dimineti compania Apple a anuntat ca investigheaza o posibila exploatare a iCloud pentru furtu a sute de POZE NUD ale unor vedete ale Hollywood, cu doar cateva minute in urma fiind publicate is concluziile sale. Dupa 40 de ore de investigatii Apple confirma faptul ca unele conturi iCloud au fost compromise pentru a fura POZE cu VEDETE GOALE, insa sustine ca nu a fost utilizata o bresa de securitate a iCloud sau Find My iPhone pentru a se obtine acces la ele.
We wanted to provide an update to our investigation into the theft of photos of certain celebrities. When we learned of the theft, we were outraged and immediately mobilized Apple’s engineers to discover the source. Our customers’ privacy and security are of utmost importance to us. After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet. None of the cases we have investigated has resulted from any breach in any of Apple’s systems including iCloud® or Find my iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved.
To protect against this type of attack, we advise all users to always use a strong password and enable two-step verification. Both of these are addressed on our website at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4232.
Apple sustine ca acele conturi ar fi fost compromise folosind atacuri de tip phishing prin care hackerii ar fi pacalit vedetele sa isi ofere, fara sa stie, datele de logare la servicii sau raspunsuri la intrebarile de securitate pentru Apple ID-uri. Ca sa fiu sincer, nu m-as fi asteptat vreodata ca Apple sa confirme faptul ca iCloud ar fi fost spart pentru a se fura pozele, asa ca nu ne ramane de cat sa credem, daca vrem, ceea ce ne spune compania in comunicatul de presa de mai sus.
Pentru a evita situatiile de acest gen, compania Apple recomanda utilizarea unor parole complexe si activarea sistemului de autentificare in 2 pasi pentru iCloud in tarile in care este disponibil, excluzand Romania.
