AppSpy is a program for PC with the help of which you can find out different information related to iPhone / iPod Touchyours, but more importantly you can check if there are updates for the applications installed in the terminal.

AppSpy collect the information from the database a iTunes and offers you the description of the application from AppStore, the location of the application in PCyour, the name of the application, the minimum firmware version to run the application, and if it finds an update for it, you have 2 double options: either choose to download/buy the application directly from AppStore; or choose to search for the application on AppTrackR and download it from there if it exists.

All searches/downloads take place without having to connect the terminal to the computer, do this only after you have finished all the operations, or during, it is your choice but the connection is optional. AppSpy comes in 2 versions, one for Windows which you can download from here and one for Mac OSX which you can download from here.

For now, the application is in the beta version, so be careful with it because it can turn out to be unstable. AppSpy was updated these days to version 0.8, here is what the changelog contains:

  • The introduction of a search function that will give you the opportunity to search for applications in AppSpy;
  • Now you can correct the errors that appeared during the updates for certain applications;
  • You can manually select the folder where your applications are by pressing the Find button while holding Shift on the keyboard and AppSpy will search for the applications in that folder;
  • Improvements brought to the performance of the program;
  • Some minor changes to the interface for Mac OSX.

AppSpy it is completely free, but I come back with the warning to be careful because it is still in the beta version.
