VideoLAN explains why VLC Player might be pulled from the AppStore

I have said a few days ago that the developers of the VLC Player application are seriously thinking about withdrawing the application from the AppStore because the license under which this application is developed conflicts with the rules of the AppStore. I explained the details of the whole story in that article, so there is no point in going into them now. Today one of the developers of the application a publicat an e-mail explaining in detail all the legal obstacles due to which this Application could be permanently withdrawn from the AppStore. From this e-mail it appears that Apple should make some changes in its rules so that the VLC application remains in the AppStore, but as we already know Apple, I don't really think they will care if VLC Player is or not in their store applications.

Daca VLC Player it is a useful application and you use it regularly, then my advice is to save it somewhere on your PC because in the near future it is very possible that you will no longer find it available for download in the AppStore.
