PDANet is a very good alternative to the MyWi application and quite a few people use it regularly to share a data connection with a computer. As you already know in the USA, AT&T has started threatening users with the automatic activation of the internet tethering option for those who share the internet "illegally", so PDANet is ideal for them. In Romania Orange and Cosmote offers free of charge internet tethering, but Vodafone does not offer it, so PDANet would be an alternative worthy of consideration if you have a subscription to Vodafone Romania.
On another note, I would like to ask you if you have problems with Internet tethering from the iPhone to a PC/Laptop. For me, the connection closes after 2 minutes of tethering on the PC/laptop, both with Windows 7. I have to reset the connection several times to have internet again, but the "joy" doesn't last too long because the internet freezes again after a few minutes .
