Samsung postpones the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia due to the lawsuits with Apple

The story of the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia is a bit complicated It started a few days ago when we found out that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was postponed in Australia. The next day Samsung officially announced that he will not postpone the launch in Australia but the one in the USA because he had concluded an agreement with Apple by which he undertakes not to launch the tablet there until the end of the lawsuits filed by Apple. Yesterday, Samsung returned to its last statement announce that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia is being postponed due to the lawsuits filed by Apple in that country.

Postponement of Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 Media Launch Event
11th August 2011
In light of the current legal proceedings by Apple Inc. against Samsung Electronics Australia, Samsung regrets to announce that it will be postponing its media launch event, scheduled for 11th August 2011, for the Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1.

Samsung will announce a new date for the GALAXY Tab 10.1 media launch event as soon as practicable.

In the end, this back-and-forth by Samsung resulted in an official announcement to postpone the launch of the tablet, as an Apple spokesperson had announced on Monday. Apple and Samsung concluded an agreement whereby Samsung undertakes not to launch the products in the respective markets until the end of the legal disputes between the 2 companies and Apple undertakes to pay compensation if it loses the lawsuits filed. The problem is that the bureaucracy could lead to a late resolution of the processes and Samsung will have a lot to lose by postponing the launch of cestor tablets. In the end, Apple won the first battle, it remains to be seen how it will handle the next ones.
