File Vault for Mac OS X Lion is causing problems among MacBook owners

File Vault brings to Mac OS X Lion the possibility to encrypt the data on the entire HDD so that no other person can access it without your password. The function is extremely useful for those who keep important data on the HDD, but unfortunately some owners of MacBooks experience quite serious problems with the new function. It seems that after activating the data encryption function, MacBooks restart forcing users to log in 2 times after restarting the device.

MacBook users are reporting that they are experiencing an issue after installing full disk encryption using File Vault. The problem manifests itself by automatically restarting the MacBook after it is turned on and restarted once already forcing the user to login twice before actually reaching their desk top.

The problem does not affect a very large number of users, but those who experience it have not found any solution for it, and if you are among them, you should think seriously about finding an alternative for this function. Apple has not acknowledged that there is a problem and probably won't until it finds a solution, so basically you have to do it yourself and replace File Vault with another program capable of encrypting your hard disk data.
