TetherCell is a new product presented at CES 2013, being specially designed for those who want to control the batteries used in various electronic products. The device allows users to convert AAA batteries into AA batteries, and in addition controls them with the help of an app for iPhone and terminals Android. Using this device you can control this type of batteries in a completely new way: you can turn them off/on whenever you want (or you can set a timer), you can be alerted about the energy level stored in the battery and much more.

Tethercell is the everyday battery, re-imagined. It's a AA-battery adapter that you can control from your smartphone or tablet. With Tethercell and our free app, you can switch battery-operated devices on and off, set on and off schedules, be alerted when batteries are running low, and be ensured that things will remain on or off when you want them to be. Yes, batteries are changing!

The device connects via Bluetooth 4.0 to iPhone terminals, and the bad part is that the connected battery must provide energy for the connection, so its capacity is reduced by using the accessory. TetherCell is currently one indiegogo project, but it will definitely collect the necessary amount for financing and by the end of this year it would arrive in stores in the USA.
