Facebook Messenger for iPad could launch tomorrow

Yesterday I told you that Facebook could introduce a smartphone and a possible Facebook OS in a conference that will take place tomorrow, and today I will tell you that Facebook Messenger for iPad could also make an appearance. Those at Techcrunch have sources inside Facebook that confirms the fact that the iPad version of the application is ready for launch and could be officially announced tomorrow. The application will contain all the functionality of the iPhone version, but in a larger format, so there will be a chat component with all its accessories, including the possibility of receiving voice messages.

While my colleagues are hearing that this "what [they're] building" is a "big deal" - as in a "phone" or a slew of ads and other improvements - I'm hearing that one of the products that could be announced is Messenger for iPad. Specifically I'm hearing that Messenger for iPad, replete with all the Messenger features we've come to love like emoticons, photosharing, read receipts, location tagging, group messaging, and the new voice-recorded messaging feature, is ready for the public eyes. And basically, it's what exists on the iPad but in a bigger format.

Considering that tens of millions of mobile terminal owners use these applications monthly, for the iPad it is as logical as possible to launch a version for tablets, the owners of these devices being "forgotten" every time. Facebook Messenger for iPad would be available for free and if it is not integrated into the Facebook Messenger application now available in the App Store, then it will most likely be released as a separate application.
