Apple blocks an old and vulnerable version of Adobe Flash in Safari

During the past days the company Adobe released an update for Flash player- dedicated to desktop browsers, solving a vulnerability that allows some hackers to take control of the computers that have the respective version of the program installed. In order to protect Mac users, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), blocked the possibility to use in Safari versions older than 14.0.0.145 or 13.0.0.231 of the Adobe Flash plugin.

Due to security issues in older versions, Apple has updated the web plug-in blocking mechanism to disable all versions prior to Flash Player 14.0.0.145 and 13.0.0.231.

Unfortunately, the measure taken by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), only affects Safari, third-party browsers remain affected, so you will have to update the browser yourself in order not to be vulnerable. Additional details about this problem can be found in the official notification made by those from Adobe during this week.
