iOS 9 and Siri in Romanian

iOS 9 will bring Siri in Romanian?

Performance series

iOS 9 is the future version of the operating system for iDevices that Apple is preparing to launch this year, with a first beta version to be available in June. One of the novelties that many of you are expecting from iOS 9 is a Siri that can understand and interact with us in Romanian, Apple has so far avoided offering such support.

At the moment, Apple offers support for Siri in English, German, French, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish, last week showing details about the implementation of support for other European languages. Apart from all this, last year it was found that Apple is hiring engineers to implement support for Russian, Portuguese and many other languages around the world, so they will most likely be available starting with iOS 9.

Will Siri speak Romanian in iOS 9?

Considering that Siri is preparing to understand and speak in quite a large number of languages this year, what are the chances that Romanian will make a place among them in 2015? From my point of view, there is zero chance that Siri will understand the Romanian language and speak Romanian in 2015, and this is because our country is not important enough to capture Apple's attention.

Yes, using the Dictation system we can dictate texts in Romanian that are written automatically in applications, but from here to providing support for the Romanian language in Siri is an extremely long and iOS 9 it will not be the operating system that will bring us the change. However, it would not be excluded that in 2016 with iOS 10 we will have support for the Romanian language in Siri, but everything will depend on the intentions of the Apple company.

What do you think, how long will it take until Apple offers Siri in Romanian?
