I told you the other day that the WhatsApp Messenger application has been updated and allows you to make VoIP phone calls, and today the possibility of making these calls directly from our own iPhones was finally activated. Now if you open the application, you will discover a new section called History, in which a list of calls made using the new system, both initiated/received and lost, is stored.
The call list looks exactly like the one in the Phone application, so you won't see any difference, but there you won't have anything listed if you haven't initiated or received a VoIP call using WhatsApp Messenger. The section appears automatically when you open the application, so you don't have to install anything or access any special menu, so you don't have to worry from this point of view.
How do I make VoIP calls through WhatsApp Messenger?
Now coming to what interests you more, simply accessing a conversation and pressing the call button visible at the top right of the screen will allow you initiating a VoIP call via WhatsApp Messenger immediate. Your interlocutor will receive a notification on the iPhone when he is called, either in the normal interface or in the LockScreen, and accessing it will immediately accept your call and open the above interface.
If you are called when you have the application open, then you will see an interface similar to the one visible in the case of receiving normal phone calls on your iPhone terminals, so everything will be as familiar as possible. For open calls you will have the option to turn off the microphone or use the loudspeaker for speaking, the option to send a message being also visible.
For incoming calls you have the option to simply reject it, to reject it with a message or to reject it with the automatic setting of a reminder to remind you to call that person back. The whole procedure for calling VoIP via WhatsApp Messenger is as simple as possible and should be available to everyone starting this evening.
Before ending, I must tell you that, although it is not visible in the pictures, in all the notifications or interfaces you will see the name of the contact who will call you, and in the initiated call interface, in the dialing interface or in the accepted call interface you will also see a average contact image.
