Apple is the biggest tax payer on the planet or at least that's what the representatives from Cupertino claim, o public statement being made in front of the European parliamentarians who wanted to know what kind of tax facilities Apple has in Europe.
According to its representatives, the company Apple paid 2015 billion dollars in taxes in 13.2 for the receipts and profits recorded in various areas of the planet, the Americans claiming that we are talking about a tax rate of 36.4%.
Given that Apple recorded revenues of over 230 billion dollars during 2015, the amount paid as taxes is in reality less than 5% of the total receipts, so it is unlikely that it counts even that much for the profit of tens of billions of dollars recorded.
Despite disclosing the total amount of taxes paid in 2015, Apple has refused to provide details on the financial arrangement it has with the Irish government to pay lower taxes on receipts and profits recorded for sales in Europe.
