Apple claims that it refused to provide China with the iOS source code

During the last evening representatives of Apple and the FBI appeared before a senatorial commission to once again state the reasons behind which they have been in full scandal for several weeks, this being the second time that hearings have been held in this case.

While the representative of Apple, Bruce Sewell, argued that the operating systems for mobile terminals must be additionally secured, the representative of the FBI argued that the government agency must have access to some data from the devices.

During the hearings, Apple was accused of giving the Chinese access to iOS, although it refused to do so for the FBI, but Sewell said that Apple twice refused to give the Chinese the source code of the operating system, which is not difficult to do. believed

Apart from these, Sewell stated that Apple is developing a the new method to secure iCloud backups so that he can no longer access it, the system involving the use of PINs to access the backups, the decryption keys being stored only in iDevices.

FBI representatives tried to convince the senators that such security measures could prevent government agencies from carrying out their usual work of protecting American citizens, but of course Apple has counter-arguments for these statements as well.

The entire hearing session can be watched in the video clip below, and last night I also presented it to you the list of requests made by government agencies to Apple for retrieving data from iDevices or iCloud.
