The new vibrating motor will have superior performances to those offered in iPhone 6S or iPhone 7, and with its help it will be possible to create much more complex vibrations for 3D Touch in iPhone 7S, but for now no one knows for sure what this means.
Even so, we know that The iPhone 7S will come with an OLED screen and it should not have a Home button, for the first time in 10 years of iPhone, and the 3D Touch improvement might be necessary to provide such a change for the users of this smartphone.
Having a more powerful vibrating motor and capable of generating much more complex localized vibrations, the new 3D Touch from iPhone 7S it could replace the lack of a physical Home button and generate the feeling that users are pressing one, when in reality they only have a virtual Home button.
The idea itself is not difficult to achieve, especially for the Apple company, but the technology is most likely tested at the moment and it will be implemented only if Apple decides that it works well enough to be offered to users.
