RearVision – dozens of former Apple employees launch an accessory for cars

RearVision is a product created by several dozen former Apple employees who thought of combining their forces to launch a device on the market that can be mounted in the back of a car and takes images from a camera to show the driver what is behind him.

Pearl is the company created by former Apple employees, their product being a support for the registration number of cars, in which a camera and a Bluetooth chip are mounted that communicates with an application that must be installed in the iPhone or iPad, through it being transmitted images in real time.

RearVision is able to display images at an angle of 180 degrees around the rear of the car, so the driver can see not only what is directly behind the car, but also what is on the sides of it, so it will he could turn his back much more easily when he had to do this maneuver.

RearVision can also connect with the car's diagnostic system to determine the driving speed, and with the help of solar panels mounted around the camera, it provides itself with the necessary electrical energy to operate, a day of positioning in the sunlight is equivalent to a week of operation.

When the user puts the car into gear to reverse, RearVision automatically activates and displays a video feed on the iPhone or iPad, alerts are sent when cars approach the user's and when an object is very close to car bumper.

While the government can insist that new cars get safer, they can't do anything about older vehicles. That is both a crisis and an opportunity. "There's about 7 percent of new car inventory that comes in the market every year. That leaves more than 90 percent of the cars are not new every year," says Bryson Gardner, Pearl's co-founder and CEO.

RearVision was mainly created for the owners of old cars that are not equipped with parking sensors or cameras that allow him to see what is behind them, the founders of the Pearl company being of the opinion that a lot of people will be interested in the product .

RearVision camera license plate support

Although RearVision is announced to be a very interesting product, the bad part is that it has a selling price of 500 dollars, much higher than that of a license plate with a camera that I told you about just a few weeks ago.
