Microsoft will release a Surface PC that will compete with the iMac

The Surface series of products started to generate more and more money for Microsoft, last year the American company launched a laptop called Surface Book, with the role of competing with Apple's MacBooks, but until now it has not been noticed with high sales in the areas where it is available.

Although Surface Book does not generate very high sales, the Microsoft company still intends to launch a Surface PC, i.e. an all-in-one computer similar to the iMac, it will consist of a screen that has integrated all the components necessary for the operation of a computer, the iMac having a identical concept.

Microsoft wants to launch a Surface PC because the second version of the Surface Book will not hit the market until early 2017, so this new competitor to the iMac could hit the market in the fourth fiscal quarter of this year, that is of course if Microsoft will manage to complete the development process on time.

Although the all-in-one computer market recorded lower sales in 2016 compared to the same period of 2015, those from Microsoft are confident that their product will have a positive impact on global sales, but for now everything is announced with rumor title.

"With its success from Surface 2-in-1 devices, Microsoft reportedly is cooperating with upstream supply chain players to develop an all-in-one (AIO) PC under the Surface brand and will launch the model in the third quarter of 2016 at the earliest. The Surface AIO PC is apparently an alternative for Microsoft's second-generation Surface Book, which will be delayed to the first half of 2017."

At the moment there are a multitude of all-in-one computers that generate sales at least as good as the iMac, and the appearance of a new product of this kind could affect the sales of all manufacturers, if the world is no longer interested in buy such products.

For now, it is not known if the Surface PC will have any important function that differentiates the product from others available on the market at the moment, but we will find out more in the coming months.
