Lyft has negotiated a possible acquisition with Apple

Lyft discussed with Apple about a possible sale of the company that occupies the 2nd place in the market of passenger transport services in the USA.

Lyft discussed with Apple representatives about a possible sale of the company to the American giant, it offers services extremely close to those of Uber, but occupying a second position in the top of the American companies that offer services of this kind, still having quite a popularity of the sea

Separately from Apple, Lyft also talked to GM, Amazon, UBER, Didi chuxing, or even Google, but until now none of these companies have shown their willingness to make a firm offer to buy the service, the field in which it operates being extremely problematic.

Those from GM recently invested 500 million dollars in Lyft, and they were also the closest to making an offer to buy the entire company, but nothing has materialized for now, although the company's representatives have discussed with so many entities without being able to convince anyone to make a purchase.

Although Lyft is currently not making a profit, as will be the case with Uber for a very long time, the company still has cash reserves of $1.4 billion, so it can operate for a very long time before possible discussions regarding bankruptcy appear, but its shares do not - they put the future in a very good light.

Lyft would have allowed Apple to better analyze the ride-hailing market and would have helped it learn more about the project in which it is developing an electric car, but probably entering such a segment of the market is not what the American company wants now.
