Orange: great loyalty and many Romanian subscribers

More than half of Orange customers have been in the network for more than 10 years and almost 50% of houses in Romania have at least one active Orange service.

Today I talked to you about the news that Orange he presented them for Romania, more precisely Orange Home and Orange Open, the operator extending a variety of services nationally. In the preamble of this announcement, the people from Orange also talked about the initiatives for the future, but also about the customer base they have at the moment.

According to those from Orange, at the moment over 50% of its subscribers have been in the network for over 10 years, the retention rate being an extremely high one for Romania. Consider that there are people who have been using only the services of Orange for 10 years and will most likely continue to do so in the next period, considering that the offers are commensurate with the quality offered.

Apart from this very high loyalty of customers, the people from Orange claim that approximately 50% of houses in Romania have at least one active Orange service. We are talking here about, according to ANCOM's estimates, approximately 3.75 million houses in Romania that have an active Orange service at the moment, but probably also others from competitors.

Basically, Orange managed to create services that are based on the preferences of a very large number of people, and now it relies on this loyalty to increase its income. Orange will have a very difficult job in the fight with RDS & RDS on the fixed internet or fixed television market, Telekom also being strong in this segment, so it will be interesting to see how the market will evolve in the coming years.
