Apple - accusations of sexual harassment in Cupertino

Just a few days before the iPhone 7 was launched in 29 countries around the world, a scandal seethe in Cupertino, accusations of sexual harassment being made by some employees. The Apple campus in Cupertino is dominant by men, and women seem to have a rather difficult life there, according to some of the company's employees.

According to dozens of emails sent to an American publication from current and former employees of Apple, men tend to make inappropriate jokes with women employed there. These jokes are so inappropriate that they lead to sexual harassment, and the president Tim Cook learned about them directly from an employee who suffered from them.

Tired of jokes unsalted of the men on her team, the employee sent an email to Tim Cook, asking for his help in stopping the sexual harassment that takes place in his office. She received a month's leave following this incident, but when she returned to work she quickly realized that absolutely nothing had changed in the environment in which she worked.

Because the problem is very complex and affects many women within Apple, the human resources department started an investigation to try to return things to normal. Apple representatives claim that they will take all the necessary measures so that employees who deviate from the norm respect their employees, regardless of their gender.

"Apple is committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect. When we receive complaints or hear that employees are concerned about their work environment, we take it very seriously and we investigate claims thoroughly. If we find behavior to be at odds with our values, we take action. Out of respect for the privacy of our employees, we do not discuss specific matters or their resolution."
