Facebook - new functions for 360-degree photos

Facebook now allows you to choose the initial way of viewing photos taken at 360 degrees and uploaded to the network.

During the day yesterday the company Facebook announced the launch of new functions for those who view or upload photos recorded at 360 degrees. More precisely, when users upload a photo taken at 360 degrees, they have the option to select how it is displayed for the first time to those who view it.

The option to select the viewing mode is available in the interface through which a picture is uploaded and published using the Facebook application for iOS. This function allows us to determine from the very beginning how a picture uploaded by us is displayed in the Facebook social network, so everyone will see it the same way even the first time.

"We've heard you loud and clear and we're excited to roll out the ability to set the initial field of view on your 360 photo on iOS, Android and Chrome for desktop. To change the view, simply upload a 360 photo, then, before posting, move your photo around by dragging with your finger or select Edit on desktop and move the mouse until you've reached the desired view. Your friends will now see this angle of your photo when you post to Facebook."

Separately, those from Facebook are also going to allow the introduction of 360-degree photos into albums, so you will be able to create special albums with them. Moreover, Facebook will allow you to combine the publication of normal photos with video clips, or 360-degree photos, this function will be offered in the following weeks.

This new functionality is offered since yesterday for all users directly through the Facebook application, without requiring any update. For the function of publishing pictures in albums, it is not yet known how long it will take until it is offered, but it probably won't take more than a few weeks until we have it.
