Samsung announces draconian battery testing measures

Revealing today cause of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosions, the Samsung company also announced the measures it has implemented to ensure that problems of this kind will not appear again. According to Samsung company officials, we are talking about new procedures regarding the quality control of the products coming off the production lines, the manufacturing process will take longer.

More precisely, Samsung will implement a new 8-step test system for the batteries it implements in all its products. Moreover, Samsung will form a council that will oversee the implementation of the new measures, which will be made up of professors from Cambridge, Berkeley and Stanford.

Among the new battery verification measures are resistance testing, a visual inspection, x-ray scanning, charge and discharge tests, organic battery volatility tests, battery disassembly tests, accelerated in-use degradation tests and tests for to test the voltage passing through the circuits.

Some of these steps, mainly the first 3, have already been applied to the batteries used so far in Samsung products, but the tests will become more complex to prevent other future problems. All these measures are taken to ensure that billions of dollars will not be lost due to similar problems, so it remains to be seen how the products will look.

Having said that, below you can see the 8 steps to be implemented by Samsung to ensure the quality of future batteries.
