Facebook follows you all over the internet

Facebook owns the largest social network on the planet, the largest messaging network on the planet and the largest platform for sharing pictures and videos. In order to reach over 3 billion monthly active users in all these platforms, Facebook used methods that are probably not even that legal.

A former manager of the Facebook company recently spoke about some of them and tells us that we are constantly monitored everywhere on the Internet. According to him, no matter what we do, as long as the accessed website has Facebook code in it, the company collects data about our actions and possibly even displays ads to us when we access its social network.

Many people have discovered in many cases that based on what they search on the Internet, they see specific ads on Facebook, or even Google, and the former manager confirms that we are being followed. Moreover, he says that he helped Facebook to create the first software platforms for tracking us, since 2012.

The truth is that it was hard to believe that Facebook was not profiting in some way, or another, from us, and little by little everything the company does will be found out. I think that these disclosures regarding Facebook's practices are just the beginning of a string of information that will show how carefully the company follows all our movements and not only in its network.

"For two years I was charged with turning Facebook data into money, by any legal means. If you browse the internet or buy items in physical stores, and then see ads related to those purchases on Facebook, blame me. I helped create the first versions of that, way back in 2012. Turns out your blotto-drunk party pics and flirty co-worker messages have no commercial value whatsoever."
