MacBook and MacBook Pro 2017 have few internal novelties

MacBook and MacBook Pro 2017 were disassembled last night to show us what is hidden inside them, and for many this was a disappointment. The Apple company announced during WWDC 2017 that the new models of MacBook and MacBook Pro 2017 come with new Intel Kaby Lake processors, but it seems that apart from them there is nothing major changed.

The exception is the MacBook 12 inch 2017, for which the Apple company has implemented a new mechanism for the keyboard, this being found in the MacBook Pro 2016. The change does not improve the typing experience on the MacBook 12 inch 2017, but it could increase the resistance of the keys over time, so the change should be, overall, a pretty good one.

Apart from that, MacBook and MacBook Pro 2017 are as difficult to repair as the previous models, in the case of the second Touch Bar being a big problem. Considering the weight with which the MacBook and MacBook Pro 2017 are repaired, they received a score of 1 out of 10 in terms of the ease with which they can be repaired, just like the previous models.

Basically, Apple wanted the MacBook and MacBook Pro 2017 to benefit from the new Intel Kaby Lake processors, which are more powerful, but did not implement anything else notable in the series.

"The keyboard trigger looks like a more classic switch this go-around. The plastic butterfly mechanism appears to have thinned out to accommodate the new switch form factor. The keystroke and travel feel about the same to us, so perhaps the real change is reinforcement for repeated use. While not really a mechanical change, the control and option keys got some new ink. They now mark keyboard shortcuts rather than translating for PC users.”
