iOS and Android Totally Control the Smartphone Market

iOS si Android completely controls the smartphone market, according to the latest information on the degree of use of the two operating systems globally. Android has had a constant growth since 2011, while iOS has slowly but surely lost its market share, the peak seems to have been reached in 2013, but the current share is very far from what it had gathered operating system then.

iOS and Android currently gather 99.9% of the smartphone market with a remaining 0.1% for the Windows operating system, a fraction of a market of billions of mobile terminals. To be completely honest, I don't really think that anyone should be surprised by the fact that iOS and Android remain the only operating systems for mobile terminals that control the entire market, considering their popularity.

iOS is still in danger of being "swallowed" by the Android operating system, and this is because annually, many more Android smartphones are sold than iPhones. We are talking about over 1.2 billion smartphones sold annually, and of them only a little over 200 million units have the iOS operating system, so you can imagine how things will evolve in the coming years.

iOS will steadily lose market share from one fiscal quarter to the next, and that won't stop anytime soon because Android is king. The situation is identical to that of the macOS operating system, which represents a fraction of the total number of computers that are active globally, and nothing will change there either, because Apple's greed will not allow it to grow.
