The iPhone 8 with only 2 GB of RAM will still be able to offer augmented reality functions through ARKit, but it will certainly not have all the functions that the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X will offer. iPhone 8 with less RAM than iPhone X suggests that even in the new A11 chip there will be differences in terms of processing power.
