Apple is the Target of the Largest Class Action to date

Apple will be the target of the largest collective lawsuit that has been opened against it so far, those from Cupertino will have a very difficult 2018.

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is the target of the largest collective lawsuit so far, an Australian law firm announcing that it is preparing a huge blow for those in Cupertino. Their process is, of course, based limiting iPhone performance by the American company, and a very large number of clients will join this process that will be opened in January 2018.

Yesterday we told you that no less than 67.000 Apple customers have joined a collective lawsuit in South Korea, this being the largest so far opened against Apple. As usual, and in this process, the Apple company is accused of deceiving its customers when it decided to limit the performance of the iPhone without notifying its customers about it.

The law firm is going to demand compensation of over 1 billion dollars from the Apple company, and they could be granted by the court, if the claims are accepted by the court. This will be one of the more than 15 processes already opened by Apple, but here we are only talking about the known ones, because in reality there could be many other unknown ones.

"iPhone owners could cash in on a portion of over $1 billion in what lawyers are touting as Australia's largest-ever class action, after tech giant Apple admitted to slowing down some phones. Corporate deception is a serious and punishable offense. Apple, by its own admission, has misled millions of consumers globally into believing that their iPhones were malfunctioning, causing them to upgrade to newer and more costly devices."

Apple apologized yesterday for limiting the performance of the iPhone due to the degree of battery wear, but it seems that this initiative comes much too late for consumers. Those from Apple are now trying to get rid of some of the processes and to convince customers not to open others, but it is unlikely that the angry people will now overlook the problems.
