Samsung Galaxy S9 secret function

Samsung Galaxy S9 has one of the new secret functions revealed today, the Korean company preparing for its customers some very important changes this year, as is normal, by the way. The Samsung Galaxy S9 had some major features announced more than a week ago, and Samsung has largely confirmed what it will offer to its customers, so today we're talking about one that will be used by a lot of people.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have a new slow-motion function for recording video clips using the new cameras, this offering the possibility to make movies at 480 frames per second with the phones. The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have a standard way of recording video clips using slow-motion, they are made simply at 480 frames per second, but this will be only one of the working modes offered by the Camera application.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will also allow you to record slow-motion video clips only when a certain object or a certain person enters the camera, the function being similar to the one offered for selfies. In the same idea, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will have the possibility to make slow-motion video recordings when shooting normal video clips, this function allowing the recording of important moments when shooting normally.

Samsung Galaxy S9 - the secret function that was revealed

The Samsung Galaxy S9 has not yet revealed the resolution at which it will make these slow-motion recordings, but we are most likely talking about 1080p and 720p resolution at different frame rates. The Samsung Galaxy S9 will most likely record movies at 480 frames per second at 1080p resolution and at 960 frames per second at 720p resolution, but for now these are extrapolations from the phone's camera specifications.

"First, the feature will have two methods of capture. There will be the regular method where you tap the shutter button to start recording the moment you want to capture in slow motion. In the other method, the user would be required to tap the record button, but the camera will only record slow-motion video when something moves in the frame. On the Xperia XZ, the camera records regular videos at 30 fps and speeds it up to 960 fps when the user taps the slow-motion button, and Samsung's implementation seems to be quite similar."

Samsung Galaxy S9 will have new cameras implemented by Samsung, they have variable aperture and would be the most advanced cameras ever implemented in a mobile phone by any manufacturer. They should allow Samsung Galaxy S9 users to take great pictures in any kind of conditions, the Koreans amaze every year with the image sensors and the very good quality of the pictures offered.

Samsung Galaxy S9 will be presented on February 25, at 19:00, Romanian time, by the Korean company in a conference organized before Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S9 will start on March 2, while the launch will take place on March 9 or 16, although it may be done differently in the countries where the mobile phones must arrive.
