Apple Is Trying to Hide the Biggest iPhone Security Disclosure

Apple is trying hard to hide the biggest revelation in the history of the iPhone, according to the press, saying that it is not really that important.

Company Apple has confirmed the fact that for some time the source code of iOS 9 and iBoot has been disclosed and distributed on the Internet, which may allow the development of permanent jailbreak solutions. Apple stated that that source code is old and has no major implications regarding iPhone security, the company saying that product security is not limited to the bootrom only.

Apart from these brave statements, the Apple company asked some publications to delete from their websites information regarding the source code, plus parts of it. Apart from that, Apple asked Github to delete the files that contained the source code of iOS 9 and iBoot, a sign that things are not as simple as they seem at first glance.

If there had been no danger for iOS and iPhone, the Apple company would not have bothered to try to remove from the Internet essential information about iOS and iPhone that it cannot make disappear anyway. Journalists say that this is the biggest disclosure in the history of the Apple company, and according to the way the American company behaves, this would be the end.

"This is a reproduction of Apple's 'iBoot' source code, which is responsible for ensuring trusted boot operation of Apple's iOS software. The 'iBoot' source code is proprietary and it includes Apple's copyright notice. It is not open-source."

Apple tries to appear brave and suggest the idea that this source code does not affect the security of the iPhone or iPad, but the reality is that it could be used including in iOS 11. Computer security researchers say that the disclosure will help them discover new vulnerabilities including in iOS 11, some even impossible to block in the existing products on the market.
