An extremely interesting study done by an American company shows us how quickly the value of phones depreciates Android compared to that of iPhones. iPhone 7 was used for comparison, iPhone 8, iphone 8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, and the results are as expected.
The iPhone 7 kept the most of its value over time, depreciating by 53% only 10 months after the launch, while in the case of the iPhone 8 Plus it reached the same value 4 months after the launch. The iPhone 8 seems to follow a similar trajectory to that of the iPhone 7, but most likely its value will decrease much faster due to the very low demand for this model.

In the case of Samsung phones, we note that the Samsung Galaxy S7 has best kept its value over time, but 12 months after its release, the price dropped by 70% compared to the initial one. However, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus experienced a much faster depreciation than the Samsung Galaxy S7, and this surprisingly, considering the innovations.
If we were to compare, the value of iPhones depreciates much harder than that of phones produced by the Samsung company, but this is generally true for Android.
