Microsoft is testing this new dark mode for Windows 10 in the latest beta build of the operating system, with code number 17666, its release being scheduled by those from Redmond for the end of this year, and other interesting changes will be offered.

For now, Windows 10 will have a dark mode only for File Explorer, that system that allows navigation among all the files of the operating system, it being very used by a very large number of users. In the first beta version with this integrated dark mode, Windows 10 does not have a modified interface for the entire File Explorer, so it will most likely be updated in the next versions by those from Microsoft to be improved.

Windows 10 not only implements a dark mode for File Explorer in the future version of the operating system, but also a Clipboard integrated in the cloud, which allows accessing data copied from other devices. Moreover, those from Microsoft are making changes in Windows 10 for Notepad as well, developers will be able to use Unix / Linux code within the application, highlighting some words will also be possible in Notepad using keyboard shortcuts.

Windows 10 has a multitude of changes announced by Microsoft for future versions of the operating system, and a dark mode for the entire operating system cannot be ruled out. It is not known how long the development of this dark mode for Windows 10 will take, as Microsoft has not yet presented a timeline for the completion of this major change, so it remains to be seen how the final version will look and when it will be ready.
