Digi, Orange, Telekom, Vodafone have the mobile internet speeds in Romania presented by ANCOM in a comparison designed to tell you which of the three operators to choose if you want the best speed. Unfortunately, we continue to notice that mobile internet speeds in Romania at Digi, Orange, Telekom, Vodafone do not exceed 25 Mbps, a very low value, given that they all have 4G networks with fairly extensive coverage.

Orange has the best mobile internet speeds in Romania, according to ANCOM, offering 24.52 Mbps for download and 9.62 Mbps for upload, the investments in the 4G network being fully seen here. Vodafone occupies the second place with download speeds of 23.46 Mbps and 12.51 Mbps for upload, the difference compared to Orange being the smallest for download, but big for upload, where the numbers are anyway very small, unfortunately for us, but the situation is exactly the same for everyone.

Telekom still remains in the 3rd position in the top of the best mobile internet speeds, offering 20.18 Mbps for download and 9.98 Mbps for upload, succeeding in surpassing Orange for upload. Digi is the operator with the worst mobile internet speeds, still offering only 8.4 Mbps for download and 2.81 Mbps for upload, on average, its network also having the worst coverage.

Digi, Orange, Telekom, Vodafone gather together about 37 million customers, according to the quarterly and annual reports made by each operator, here including both SIMs with subscriptions and those that are prepaid cards. Digi, Orange, Telekom, Vodafone generate annual revenues of almost 4 billion euros in Romania, but despite this, we remained with the average mobile internet speeds in 2012, and this in the conditions where the launch of 5G networks is being discussed in our country.
