iPhone it still has a bright future in front of it, the smartphone series of the Apple company is still very popular, and many people are wondering when Touch ID, a fingerprint reader, will arrive on the phone screen. The integration of Touch ID into the iPhone screen was considered by Apple before Face ID was developed, but the lack of sufficiently mature solutions forced Apple to offer facial recognition, and to see it as the future of biometric security.
The iPhone will not have Touch ID on the screen soon, as Apple currently has no plans to integrate this technology for its users, preferring to continue developing Face ID for the following models. A well-known analyst who has always had accurate information about Apple's plans claims that the 2019 iPhone models will not have an in-screen fingerprint reader, but this will not change beyond next year.

Face ID debuted in the iPhone last year, and the Apple company wants to bring the technology to other products it sells, the iPad Pro being the first to have the integrated technology, but of course others will follow. Because they cannot offer something similar, the manufacturers of Android phones integrate fingerprint readers into the screens, and so the Apple company will have different products through Face ID from the iPhone, so it will not give up the technology too easily.
"All main Android brands currently treat FOD as the important function to differentiate themselves from iPhone (we expect 2H19 iPhone models will not support FOD). The reasons are as follows: (1) The user feedback on the iPhone is lower than expected. (2) The user feedback on the first FOD smartphone, Vivo's X21 FOD version, is higher than expected, and (3) FOD is the best fingerprint recognition solution for the full-screen design which is necessary for a high-end smartphone."
The iPhone will still remain an "enclave" in terms of biometric security through facial recognition, and this is because so far only Xiaomi has managed to do something relatively close, but no one else. Android manufacturers have given up on the idea of offering biometric security for phones through facial recognition, so the iPhone will not soon adopt in-screen fingerprint readers, and facial recognition in Android will not be as good.
