Windows 10 function CANCELED at Customer PRESSURE

Windows 10 had a new feature canceled for the October 2018 Update by Microsoft due to pressure from customers who complained about its implementation.

Windows 10 had an extremely annoying feature canceled by Microsoft under pressure from customers who used it in the short time it was available, something few thought would be possible from Microsoft. I told you a few weeks ago that a new function was implemented in Windows 10 that "recommends" users not to use other browsers for browsing the Internet apart from Microsoft Edge, created by those from Redmond.

Windows 10 displays the notification in the image below when users try to install Google Chrome, or Firefox, those from Microsoft saying that the Edge browser is safer and faster than the alternatives. Microsoft is not the first "initiative" of this kind regarding the Microsoft Edge browser and the "recommendations" intended against Google Chrome and Firefox, but this recent attempt to promote its creation has generated a lot of criticism from users of beta versions of Windows 10 and a October 2018 Update.

In the past, Windows 10 even displayed other forms of notifications for users who used Google Chrome, Microsoft telling them that the Google browser was consuming a lot of battery power. Of course, then Windows 10 users were very angry at Microsoft's stupid attempt to convince them to give up browsers, the company giving up on the idea, which is also happening now with the October 2018 Update.

"The Verge understands that Microsoft no longer plans to include this warning in the upcoming Windows 10 October 2018 Update that will ship next month, but the company may continue to test for these types of requests in future updates."

Windows 10 has stopped this stupid functionality by those from Microsoft, but the company intends to test other methods in the future to try to convince its users to give up the currently existing alternatives for Edge. Of course, this will generate even more upset, and more criticism for those in Redmond, but it seems that they don't really care about what could happen to Windows 10 if they continue.
