The iPhone XS Max appears today in a very interesting comparison that puts it face to face with a Canon C200 camera to see what the differences are between them.

iPhone XS Max has its new camera compared to a Canon C200 because a film producer thought that Apple's new phone has a really impressive camera. The film producer declared himself shocked by the quality of the iPhone XS Max camera compared to the Canon C200, although the price difference between the devices is huge.

The iPhone XS Max is compared to the Canon C200 in the video clip below, and of course we cannot talk about an equivalence between the two devices. Of course, the difference of more than 8000 dollars between the two products is also found in the quality of the images recorded by the iPhone XS Max and Canon C200, despite the appreciations made by the manufacturer.

The iPhone XS Max has videos that look great when viewed on its screen, but when played back on a larger screen, things change completely and details are lost. He says that the HDR effect applied by the iPhone XS Max and the Canon C200 is much closer than many would think, but of course everything must be viewed with the awareness of the differences between the categories of each product.

"I attached the iPhone XS to the top of the C200 and placed them both on the DJI Ronin-S. I used the regular Apple camera app and spent an hour shooting to see what I could come up with. The dynamic range is super impressive. It's able to keep the highlights on the bright sun while keeping details in the shadows.  When viewed the footage on a small iPhone scene they both looked fantastic. I was impressed to say the least but it all fell apart when viewing in fullscreen on my 27 inch iMac. Too much sharpening meant the details just got lost and all the leaves with details just got smushed together."

The iPhone XS Max has an impressive camera, the experts put it in second place behind the one in the Huawei P2 Pro, but compared to a Canon C20 camera there are much bigger differences. Although phone cameras are getting better and better, and the iPhone XS Max can be fully appreciated for the camera it has, it must be taken into account that everything looks great on a small screen, but not necessarily on a large one.
