Apple CANCELED AirPower, but NOT Abandoning Wireless Charging

Apple officially announced last night that it canceled the launch of the AirPower product due to the great difficulties encountered in the production process.

airpower cancelled

AirPower was canceled by the Apple company, an announcement that should not surprise absolutely anyone if we think about the fact that the Americans have struggled unsuccessfully in the last months to make the product. The announcement comes a year and a half after AirPower was announced, and was eagerly awaited by many customers.

AirPower has been at the center of many rumors these days after new references to it were discovered on the Apple website, as well as the supporting materials from the AirPods 2 box. Apple still wanted to reassure everyone, and announced officially that AirPower will never reach the market again, and that this is not necessarily the end of the whole story.

AirPower has been cancelled, but Apple is not giving up on wireless charging

Apple has announced that it is still developing new wireless charging solutions for its products, even if no one knows at the moment what this means for Americans. It is possible that Apple has other similar products in development, or maybe even better, AirPower being canceled because it did not meet all the "high" standards that the company imposed on itself.

After much effort, we've concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have canceled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to pushing the wireless experience forward.

Apple had no problems in launching the iPad Pro, which bends very easily, and in delivering bendable tablets to customers, but it suddenly has high standards for AirPower. Leaving aside this paradox, AirPower has become history for now, and if you want another wireless charging solution, you should turn your attention to other products on the market.
