Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced today for the phones iPhone a new important change, coming as a real surprise in the context in which what the American company requested is not so simple to achieve. More precisely, those from Apple managed to convince those from TSMC and Foxconn, the main partners at the moment, to use only renewable energy for the manufacture of iPhone phones, something that matters more in the US than anywhere else.

The iPhone will be assembled by Foxconn using 100% renewable energy, while TSMC will manufacture the processors of the phones, or the iPad, in the same way, Apple being very focused on giving up alternative energy sources. Apart from these two companies, those from Apple have convinced 13 other partners to use only renewable energy for the manufacture of the components to be used in the iPhone phones.

Apple ANNOUNCES a BIG NEW CHANGE for the iPhone

The iPhone is currently assembled, or has its components manufactured, by 44 Apple partners that use only renewable energy, but Apple wants to increase this number by 2020. Apple has been working only with renewable energy since 1 year ago, so including the development process for iPhone phones takes place on the basis of renewable energy, and this strengthens the plan of those from Apple to save nature using such energy sources.

It took a while for them to come on board, and so we believe that now that they have, they're fully committed to doing it... and obviously if they fall down on the job, we'll be right there on their chase. I can't tell you what will happen, but I hope it never does.

Apple has not easily managed to convince its partners to give up alternative energy sources for the manufacture of the iPhone, or its components, so the victory is a very important one for the Americans. Although for those at Apple it is important that their products are manufactured using only renewable energy, for the rest of the world these things matter much less, which is to be expected, considering that few companies and individuals emphasize this.
