Google Chrome. New Function Taken from Safari, Firefox

Google Chrome. A new and very interesting function is taken by the Google company for its browser directly from Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox.

Google Chrome reader

Google Chrome. A very interesting new change for Google's browser comes directly from the competition, and this is because the novelty has existed for some time in Safari, Firefox, and more. More precisely, Google Chrome will soon implement a function known as "reader", allowing the removal of unnecessary elements from pages, for easier reading.

Google Chrome. The function is implemented in the "Canary" version of the browser for now, and will be offered publicly only after it goes through the beta version of the program. Basically, Google Chrome will only allow viewing the main text of a page so that the user can enjoy a simpler experience of reading the content of the page.

Google Chrome will have an integrated "reader mode".

Google Chrome. The browser will have this function integrated a few years after Safari or Firefox have implemented it, but there is no explanation for this waiting period. The first browser to implement such a function was Microsoft Edge, in 2015, Firefox and Safari added it in 2017, and Google Chrome will bring it in 2019.

Google Chrome. The implementation now done for the desktop and iOS versions is an improvement on what already exists to some extent in the Android browser. Accessing the "reader" function is done only after the Internet page is loaded, so Google Chrome will not be able to do this before the page is completely loaded by the browser.

Behind others, but still useful

Google Chrome. At the moment, the use of this function is only possible from the "Canary" version of the browser, and only after activating it through a flag in the program. Those interested in enabling this feature for Google Chrome can use the chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode setting to do so, so if you don't know how to find it, don't worry.

Considering that this new function is currently in full testing process, it is not clear when it will be released in the final version, so we have to wait for GOogle to finish its work.
