Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced today a service recall program for some MacBook Pro models that have batteries that overheat and can catch fire during normal use. We are talking about certain models of MacBook Pro 15 inches, sold between September 2015 and February 2017, which can be identified based on the serial number.
The problem is so serious that Apple asks customers to stop using their laptops from the moment they read its recall notice. The batteries of these laptops will be replaced free of charge by Apple in stores, or whatever authorized service, and it is mandatory to do this.
