Intel Prepares New Price Reductions for Processors

intel processor discounts

Intel prepares price reductions for the processors it sells, all in an attempt to compete more seriously with those from AMD, who have cheaper products. Those from Intel would intend to apply discounts of approximately 15% for processor prices, which in certain cases would mean discounts of up to several tens of dollars.

The 8th and 9th generation Intel processors would benefit from these discounts, and the partners of the American company would have already been informed about them. It is interesting that some motherboards would also have discounts based on Intel's desire to be more competitive with AMD, which is very good news.

Intel currently has processors that are up to approximately 20%, if not more in some cases, more expensive than the equivalent ones from the AMD company. The price reductions would certainly increase the competition in this segment, and would bring an increase in sales for those from Intel, but it remains to be seen what will be chosen in the end of their plans.

"Intel is planning to cut prices of its eighth- and ninth-generation desktop processors by 10-15% and has already notified its downstream PC and motherboard partners, according to sources from motherboard players."
