RCS & RDS currently has a market share of 52% of fixed broadband Internet connections in Romania, which are currently 5.1 million, according to ANCOM. The number of fixed internet connections in Romania increased by 0.9% compared to the same period last year, so both RCS & RDS, as well as the other big operators, took advantage of a greater interest in using the fixed internet in Romania.

RCS & RDS practically has around 2.6 million fixed internet connections in Romania at the moment, having a kind of monopoly, and this is because its main competitor has less than half. RCS & RDS has 52% of the fixed internet market in Romania, those from Telekom 22%, UPC another 12%, and the remaining 14% is shared between Orange and many, many other companies that provide fixed internet services for customers from Romania.
RCS & RDS managed to force an increase in the quality of fixed internet in Romania, and thanks to their subscriptions, now in our country over 71% of connections have speeds of at least 100 Mbps. Everything is due to the investments made by RCS & RDS, they offered the first subscriptions with very high speeds, and metropolitan traffic, and this forced the rest of the market to adapt and catch up, and all customers benefited from this.
RCS & RDS is by far the strongest provider of fixed internet services in Romania, and although it is very strong here, on the mobile internet side things are completely the opposite for the telecommunications operator.
