Android: ATTENTION, Google Recommends DOING THIS Right Now

Android has launched a very important recommendation by Google for all phone users, here's what the company is asking everyone to do now.

Android security patch

Android it is the most used operating system in the whole world at the moment, and for the hundreds of millions of users Google has a recommendation that should be followed right now. More precisely, Google recommends people to install the latest security patch, the one released the other day, because it solves a very serious problem that exists in Android phones with versions 8 and 9.

Android has in versions 8 and 9 a very serious security problem with Bluetooth connections, a hacker being able to gain access to data from phones, and being able to install malware, without the user knowing. The security problem was discovered by a company called ERNW, it was reported to the Google company, which solved it very quickly, and the security patch released at the beginning of February for Android contains the solution for the problem.

Android it is not the only operating system for which a problem of this kind was discovered, something similar was discovered in iOS, and solved by Apple some time ago, also quite quickly. Google moved very quickly with the security patch to solve the problems generated by the Bluetooth connections, and all those running version 8 and 9 in their phones should install the update that is offered right now.

“On Android 8.0 to 9.0, a remote attacker in the vicinity can silently execute arbitrary code with Bluetooth daemon privileges as long as Bluetooth is enabled. No user interaction is required and only the Bluetooth MAC address of the target devices needs to be known. For some devices, the Bluetooth MAC address can be deduced from the WiFi MAC address. This vulnerability can lead to the theft of personal data and could be used to spread malware (short distance worm).”

Android can have internal files accessed by hackers without the phone user knowing only if they are near a malicious device, and if they have active connections. Android 10 is not affected by this problem, so you don't have to worry, but even so, you should install the security patch from the beginning of February because it solves some security problems discovered by Google, or partner companies .

Android, like iOS, regularly releases security patches to keep users safe, and now we're talking about a problem that can be serious for people if the patch isn't installed.
