Coronavirus: Israel Tracks Citizens Suspected of Infection via Phones

Israel coronavirus tracking

The coronavirus brought to Israel a controversial new law that allows the government to geolocate and monitor citizens suspected of infection, to ensure that they respect home isolation, the measure itself being extremely good.

Security agencies in Israel will geolocate citizens using mobile phone operators, according to the BBC, and those who do not stay at home, isolated, will be immediately spotted by the authorities to be prosecuted because they endanger the lives of other people.

If we think that in Romania yesterday 12 isolates from Bucharest went out into the city without caring that they could infect people, yesterday an unconscious person from Spain boarded a plane with 60 people and came to Bucharest, although he was infected with Coronavirus, and today another unconscious person ran away from the hospital after testing, we can conclude that a law of this kind should be adopted in Romania.

This legislative change imposed by the authorities in Israel will only be applied for a period of 30 days in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus among the population, a sign that even there people are not aware of the situation, as it is in Romania.

"The Israeli government has approved emergency measures for its security agencies to track the mobile phone data of people with suspected coronavirus. The new powers will be used to enforce quarantine and warn those who may have come into contact with infected people."

In Romania, unfortunately, not everyone who is in isolation at home can be monitored, the idea of buying bracelets for monitoring vital signs was discussed, and if I'm not mistaken, including GPS monitoring, but for now it is not known if there are people monitored in this way.
