Milky Way: DESTRUCTION Caused by Supermassive Black Hole

The Milky Way has a supermassive black hole at its center that has caused huge destruction over an impressive expanse, here's what happened.

Giant Milky Way

Milky way it has at its center a supermassive black hole that you surely already know about, an impressive one that has generated a lot of discussion among researchers around the world, but one that is very carefully monitored. Well, based on these very careful monitoring, scientists have made a very important discovery, namely that this black hole in the Milky Way has partially destroyed some of the stars near it.

Milky way it has many stars in its center, but those that are at a distance of 1.6 light-years from the supermassive black hole in its center, had their outer layers destroyed by a very powerful gas jet. Some of you already know that black holes can throw very powerful gas jets into the universe that have a devastating effect on planets and stars, and in the case of the one in the Milky Way, it seems that this happened, with an effect to measure.

Milky Way: DESTRUCTION Caused by Supermassive Black Hole

Milky way at one point its central area was flooded by two explosions of gas jets and gamma rays, these destroying the outer layers of some stars that were in the vicinity of the black hole. The explosions would have taken place approximately 4 million years ago, when a large object would have entered that black hole in the Milky Way, but for now it is not very clear exactly what happened, especially since we are also talking about something that it happened a long time ago.

“The supermassive black hole, Sagittarius A *, has released a powerful jet of gas that has ripped off the outer layers of the red giants. That turned the stars into smaller red giants or hotter, bluer stars. Today, Sagittarius A * is quiet, but two enormous bubbles of gamma-ray-emitting gas are rooted in the center of the Milky Way's tower, far above and below the plane of the galaxy (SN: 12/9/20). These gas bubbles imply that the black hole came to life about 4 million years ago when something fell into it."

Milky way there are no huge stars in that area with very hot outer layers and red surfaces, these having the respective outer layers completely destroyed, so they are even colder than other stars. It all happened because of those gas jets eliminated by the black hole in the center of the Milky Way galaxy, and at any time it is possible that something similar could happen in the same region, with devastating effects for planets and stars.

Milky way it has not had any discovery of this kind made until now, despite the fact that the galaxy is very carefully monitored by many scientists, which shows us that many secrets are still hidden in it.
