Valeriu Gheorghita: Small chances for new vaccination appointments in February

Valeriu Gheorghita February vaccination appointments

Valeriu Gheorghita, the coordinator of the vaccination campaign in Romania, said that in February there are minimal chances that new places for vaccination will be available, and this is because of the small number of doses that have been delivered to Romania so far.

Valeriu Gheorghita says that more than 100.000 people have been rescheduled for the administration of the first dose of the vaccine against the Coronavirus, so that the resumption of the process at maximum capacity depends only on the deliveries of doses from the authorized producers.

"Regarding the scheduling of new people for the month of February, the doses from Pfizer and Moderna are allocated to ensure the booster and the people already scheduled for dose 1. It was the decision that we took precisely in order not to endanger the booster dose . Pfizer, Moderna and Astra reduced the doses they had originally scheduled and we had to adapt."
