Romanian Police Many Fines Due to the Coronavirus in the Last 24 Hours

The Romanian Police continues to apply fines in Romania for non-compliance with preventive measures against the Coronavirus, and now we are talking about what happened in the last 24 hours in our country, and as you can see, over 7000 fines were applied.

The Romanian Police was very active during last night, when the Catholic Easter was also celebrated, but even if the restrictions were lifted between 20:00 and 02:00, there were still many fines applied throughout the country by police officers

"In the last 24 hours, 3.423 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on April 3, 7.112 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 1.675.637 lei.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures to verify the reported aspects."
